Welcome to another video! Thomas decided to do a drum cover of Green Day's "Last of the American Girls". Even though the song is not very complicated, there are some nice beats, fills, and flams used. For the most part the main verse groove stays the same, and the chorus has a nice drum fill played between the crash/snare drum strokes and bass drum filling in between. The drum rhythm of the chorus actually sounds like a fun groove called "Calypso". Imagine playing straight eight notes and accenting the 1st, 4th, and the 7th notes (1st accent goes on beat "one", 2nd accent on the and of "two", and the 3rd accent on beat "four"). Thomas also manages to do a bit of stick twirling. His time keeping is solid and he is playing with a lot of confidence.
