Here is a little trio I wrote for my students. It can also be played as a duet if there is no vibraphone.

The dialog between the xylophone and marimba was written using counterpoint techniques, and the vibraphone part is a simple accompaniment. The whole and half notes should be played as rolls. 

No dynamics or phrase marks are indicated, so you can interpret the piece as you wish. Enjoy!
