Welcome! Our drum school was founded with a clear mission: to create a fun
and enjoyable curriculum for aspiring students through opportunities for
learning and playing drums! Whether you're a beginner seeking first-time
instruction, or an advanced drummer or percussionist looking to improve your
skills and take your passion to the next level, you most likely know how
important it is to have a good instructor! Based in the heart of Silicon Valley,
San Jose, CA, we are here to help you achieve your goals!
Our individualized music program meets each student’s needs, level and
learning style. Whether you would like to concentrate more on drum set
playing, or orchestral percussion instruments, such as marimba, xylophone,
vibraphone, timpani, snare drum or cymbals, we are ready to help you. We
have quite a few students who have a passion to study both.
We will teach you fundamentals such as proper hand, wrist, and finger motion
(including Moeller technique), drum rudiments, hand-foot coordination and
independence, as well as music theory and history. We will also explore the
world of rock, jazz, funk, blues, world, and other styles of music! But most
importantly, we will help you become better musicians, not just amazing
“technicians” or typical “garage band drummers”.
In addition to regular weekly classes, our drum studio holds annual recitals,
which helps the students become more confident performing in front of many
people.
We also feature percussion adventures as well as fun “music in motion” series
for the youngsters.
We serve the greater South Bay Area and the West San Jose area in particular.
Weekly instruction is offered year round for the beginning, intermediate and
advanced students. Lessons are offered at our drum studio, conveniently close
to highways 280, 880, and 85 and surrounding areas, including Cupertino,
Saratoga, Campbell, Los Gatos, and Sunnyvale.
Our music studio is fully equipped with two drum sets, mallet, and hand
percussion instruments. We use a lot of educational materials, instructional
videos, as well as recordings, books, CD’s, and lots of play-alongs to give you
a wonderful musical experience. Parents are welcome to stay during the
lessons. We are proud to offer a solid musical education in a fun and warm
setting!
